Asking Mosce AI
How to use the Mosce AI assistant: what it can look up, why it only sees what your user can see, how to confirm the generation of a DGII report, and what usage limits it has.
Mosce AI answers questions about your company's data (sales, clients, inventory, purchases, fiscal documents and more) and can prepare the generation of a DGII report, which only runs once you confirm it. It sees exactly what your user can see, no more and no less. This article explains how to use it and what limits it has. To connect it to your AI provider, see Set up Mosce AI.
Reading time: ~7 min
When to use this
- You want a quick figure or fact without building a report: How much did I sell this month?, Which client invoices are overdue?
- You want to find a document, a client or a product from what you remember about it.
- You need the 606, 607, 608 or IR-17 format of a month generated without going to the fiscal screen.
- Someone on your team asks why the assistant says it has no access to something.
Before you start
- You need the
assistant:usepermission. The Owner and the Administrator, Manager, Salesperson and Viewer roles have it out of the box. The Cashier role does not: a shared point-of-sale terminal is not where questions about the company get asked. See Users, roles, and permissions. - The Mosce AI module has to be active (it is on by default, on every plan).
- Someone with the
assistant:configurepermission must have connected the company's AI provider. If not, the panel answers The assistant does not have an AI provider configured yet. See Set up Mosce AI.
Open the panel and ask a question
- Click the Open Mosce AI button in the header. If you don't see it, you are missing the
assistant:usepermission or the module is off. - The panel opens with the greeting How can I help? and four Suggested questions: How much did I sell this month?, Which products are below their minimum?, Who are my best clients? and Which client invoices are overdue? Click one or type your own in the field Type your question for Mosce AI.
- Click Send. While it works you will see Thinking and, for each lookup it makes, a line such as Looking up invoices... that turns into Looked up: invoices when it finishes.
- If you change your mind, click Stop. If an answer fails, click Retry.
Some useful things about the panel:
- Full screen and Exit full screen adjust the size.
- The panel carries the Beta label and the note Some answers may take a little longer.
- Below the answers you will see Double-check important figures before making a decision. Take it seriously: confirm on the relevant screen any figure that is going to support a decision or a filing.
- Mosce AI knows which screen you are on and, if it is a document's detail, which one. You can ask about "this invoice" while viewing it.
- You can close the panel while it answers. When it finishes, the notice Mosce AI has answered your question. appears with the View button, and the header button shows a dot until you open it.
What it can look up
Mosce AI only reads. It can look up:
| Area | Examples |
|---|---|
| Sales | Orders, invoices, quotations, clients and their statement, sales report, best selling products and top clients, point of sale report and the dashboard summary. |
| Cash registers | Cash registers, cash sessions and the summary of a session. |
| Inventory | Products, stock by product, products below minimum, negative inventory, expiring lots, inventory movements and warehouses. |
| Purchases and suppliers | Purchases, suppliers. |
| Accounting | Expenses, vendor bills, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, general ledger, accounts receivable and payable aging, withholdings, card withholdings and the ITBIS on late credit notes. |
| Banking | Bank accounts and reconciliation status. |
| Fiscal | Fiscal documents and the status of DGII reports already generated. |
| Tasks | Boards, tasks and the billable lines of a task. |
It does not create, edit or delete anything. The only thing it can do besides looking things up is propose generating a DGII report (see below).
It sees what you see, and nothing more
Every answer is limited to what your user can see in the application: your permissions, the modules active in your company and your branch. Two people asking the same question may get different answers, and that is correct.
If you ask about something you have no access to, Mosce AI answers that it has no access instead of making up an answer. The usual causes:
- Your role does not include the read permission for that area (for example
reports:readfor sales or accounting reports, fiscal:readfor fiscal documents). - The module for that area is off in your company (for example Fiscal or Accounting).
- Your user only works in certain branches and the data belongs to another.
The fix is never in the assistant: it is giving the person the permission, the module or the branch in the usual places. A change of permissions is reflected in the assistant without signing out.
Generate a DGII report from the assistant
You can ask, for example, generate the 607 for October. Mosce AI does not generate it: it prepares a proposal and shows it to you on a card.
- The card reads Action proposed by Mosce AI and Mosce AI proposes this action and will do nothing until you confirm it, with the detail: Generate the {report} for {period}. The possible reports are the 606, 607 and 608 formats and the IR-17.
- The card says until when you can confirm it: You can confirm it until {time}. The proposal expires after 10 minutes.
- Click Confirm to generate the report or Cancel to discard it (You cancelled the proposal. Nothing was generated.).
- When you confirm, the report is queued (Queued: the report is being generated) and, when it finishes, the card says The report is ready with the Download button and the link Go to the reports history.
Rules worth knowing:
- The
fiscal:managepermission is required, along with the Fiscal module being active: the same permission the Generate report button on the DGII reports screen asks for. It is checked again when you confirm; if it was removed in the meantime you will see You no longer have permission to generate reports. - The same rule of one report per type and month applies. If that period already has a report, Mosce AI proposes nothing and tells you (That period already has a generated report). Redoing it is not an assistant action: the existing report is deleted from the DGII reports history and then generated again.
- If the proposal expired or was already used: The proposal expired. Ask Mosce AI for it again.
- If it could not be confirmed that the report was queued, the notice asks you to check the reports history before trying again, so it is not generated twice.
- Every report requested from the assistant is recorded in the audit log as Fiscal report requested from the assistant.
Usage limits
So that nobody overloads the service:
| Limit | Value | What you will see when you exceed it |
|---|---|---|
| Questions per user | 10 per minute | You asked many questions in a row. You can ask again in {n} s. |
| Questions per company | 30 per minute, across everyone | Your company is asking many questions at once. You can ask again in {n} s. |
| Questions at a time | One per user | You have another question in progress, maybe in another tab. You can ask again in {n} s. |
| Duration of an answer | About 2 minutes | The answer took too long and was cancelled. Retry with a more specific question. |
When the wait is over, the notice changes to You can retry now. The limit counts questions, not internal lookups: a question that requires looking at several things counts as one.
In addition, your company pays for the usage to its AI provider: each question is charged to the account the company connected. See Set up Mosce AI.
The conversation is not stored
- The conversation lives only on your screen. It is kept while you navigate through the application, but it is lost when you reload the page, sign out or switch company.
- Mosce ERP does not store your questions or the answers. There is no history to go back to. What does remain in the audit log are confirmed actions, such as generating a report.
- To work out the answer, your question and the data Mosce AI looks up travel to the AI provider your company connected, under that provider's terms.
- New conversation clears the current one. It asks for confirmation (Start a new conversation? - The current conversation will be cleared and cannot be recovered.). It is worth using when you change topic or when the conversation gets too long.
When something fails
The panel says what happened in the same place as the answer. For errors that depend on the setup with the provider, someone with the assistant:configure permission sees the Review the settings link; everyone else sees Ask an administrator of your company to look into it. In none of those cases does Retry help, because something has to change first.

Expected result
- On-screen answers based on real data from your company, limited to what your user can see.
- The DGII reports you confirm appear in the DGII reports history just as if you had generated them from that screen.
- No conversation stored in Mosce ERP.
Common mistakes
- I don't see the Mosce AI button in the header. The
assistant:usepermission is missing from your role (the Cashier does not have it) or the module is off in Settings › Modules. - It says it has no access to something I can see in the application. Check whether what you see depends on another permission, another module or a different branch. The assistant applies the same filters as the screens.
- I asked for a report and it said it already exists. That period already has a generated report. Delete it from the DGII reports history if you need to redo it.
- The report card expired. Ask it to propose again; the proposal lasts 10 minutes.
- I lost the conversation. It is not stored: it is lost when you reload, sign out or switch company.
